May 27 is when I'm finished with high school

May 29 is when I leave to Vancouver and then to Shanghai, where I will spend a month in mainland China and Hong Kong. Awesome.

What do you plan on doing with your life after that?

college I guess (community college first), and then university. I think I have some fine opportunity to go somewhere with life

With your proximity to China I guess it's pretty good to search for job opportunities there, or even studying abroad.

I'm not close to China physically. I live in California, but I do have easier access to get there because my mom's side of the family is from China. (even though the plane tickets cost a ton) so I can stay in a lot of my relative's houses and whatnot.

but yeah I was thinking of studying abroad a lot recently, like in a country like Singapore or maybe even Japan because I have one relative in each of those countries. maybe in a year or so I can start studying abroad or something and working outside the US, and then coming back to the US afterward.

I know you're from the US, but you did say you have family there, so you'd have a easier access than most. I don't know if you actually Mandarin, I hear it's one tough language to learn, but if you do, than that's another obstacle less.

Of course, this is considering if you want to work/study there. Brazil and China are pretty close nowadays so I guess I would have good business opportunities in the future, but frankly I don't want to leave, only if it would be to get my PhD or something.

yeah, of course. I can speak some Mandarin and I am tutoring a Mandarin class which I also took last year in school. I know enough to get by and use bits and pieces everyday with my grandparents. however, I can't read Chinese at all so that's gonna be difficult for me.

I need to go to China first to see if I wanna study there, but I know I'll like a lot of China but I'll be annoyed that the government tries to block Facebook and Youtube a lot of the time so I may wanna study in Hong Kong where they don't block any sites. then again I gotta go there first to decide.

Brazil seems like an interesting place. There's actually a kid in my class who just moved here from there and he has a strong Brazilian accent. I think he's here just to study more English.

I am so jealous, I am in my second year of mandarin chinese, and I want to go to China..

well I get the easy chance to go because my mom and her family are from there/live there. I'm going everywhere: Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and seeing the Great Wall, Tian. Square, etc.

I know it's the obvious, but you should save money somehow and invest it for the trip. I think it's a good use of money and time to travel to any overseas country, especially China or any Asian country!

Ed Edd n' Eddy was actually a funny show, it's too bad CN cancelled it.

yeeee totally agree

I'm done with college >:3
